I don’t know if many of you remember but about a year ago I was walking with my friend. We were power walking it through the streets of downtown. We came to a four way light intersection and paused. We saw the “walk” neon sign that counts down the seconds. My friend and I didn’t know we would make it. So we stopped. Then along came a VERY elderly man, rushed passed us and power walked it right to the other side of the street.
My friend and I just looked at each other in amazement and complete awe. One – We were feeling lazy for not challenging ourselves to cross the street. Two – We were embarrassed that we thought we couldn’t make it. Three – We were inspired by the fact someone twice our age seized the opportunity.
When you are challenged to pick up the speed what do you do? When you are at a point in your life where you need to move towards the unknown do you stop?
