How Do You Gain Muscle?
Over the pass three years of having LisaFIT, I have had numerous clients wanting to gain muscle. It isn’t as easy as people think. It requires just as much discipline as losing weight.
I found an old article from the legendary Steve Reeves that confirms my philosophy of “gaining muscle”. The articles reads, “Steve’s Reeves’ training was wildly different from the many modern bodybuilders workout. He lifted only three days a week. Reeves believed that any more frequency would result in over-training and that drug free trainees must allow maximum rest between sessions to ensure growth.”
I tell clients this all the time. The most important part to growth is rest.
