|Would Have – Should Have – Could Have – Oh My|
This is like chanting, “Lions and tigers and bears – oh my!” – when you are frightened while walking through the forest. I don’t know how beneficial it is to have a mantra of things you don’t want or that will scare you.
Are you stuck there?
“I would have that …….if I didn’t….”
“I should have a better ……if I hadn’t…”
“I could have more……if I wasn’t….”
How has it benefited you to say those statements? If you put your focus on things you don’t have then you are creating a very small space for yourself. Small spaces are tight and congested thus making it really challenging to be open to new opportunities or experiences. Isn’t that what you are wanting – more from your life thus the would have, should have, could have? I am not saying you need to be uber positive, I am just saying the “Nay Say” needs to “Stay Away”.
Sometimes life gets the best of us and we start chanting, “Lions and tigers and bears – oh my”. At that point it is really challenging to see pass the fear. Let’s talk about chanting something different. If you are finding the holidays are preventing you from being healthy and happy then you will definitely want to read the –12 Days of Wellness!
BE HEALTHY – BE HAPPYNO EXCUSES!
DAY 3 On the third day of wellness that LisaFIT gave to me – (sing to the tune of “First day of Christmas”…, don’t make me sing it for you.)
THREE REASONS TO BE GRATEFUL
Once you change your focus to what you have versus what you don’t have – your life turns into a colorful, cheery, light-hearted comedy or for some, a “rom-com”. Give it a try – the next time you are thinking, “Woe is my life”, turn that frown upside down by saying “WOW – it’s MY life!” Think of all that you have. Focus on what you love. Remember how far you have come. If those don’t turn your frown upside then literally go upside down. Oops I just gave away one of the days.
