Where Is Your Happy Place?
I cleared my entire Sunday because I got my second vaccination on Saturday.
I was told by many people that I “could” and “would” have side effects therefore I did take some precautions.
I rested all day Friday after work and made a huge batch of hot and sour soup (tons of garlic and ginger – earth’s natural immune boosters). I drank loads of Organifi Red Juice and Green Juice, stocking up on superfoods. I went to bed early.
I stayed in bed most of Saturday, just allowing my body to manage all the foreign particles roaming through my system. I walked to keep my blood circulating. I did yoga to keep my muscles pumping and to get a light sweat on. I watched a wonderful subtitle heartfelt light humor movie, “The Intouchables”. Laughter is life’s medicine.
Sunday, I woke up feeling fine. I went for a long walk with my dog and watched the sunrise. I did an absolutely amazing yoga meditation class with Sara Martin Thomas outside in the park. I had a delicious brunch and very engaging conversation with my son which fed both my belly and my heart. I took a long Epsom salt bath to draw out toxins and reduce stress. I got to end my day with one of my favorite people listening to one of my favorite artists, H.E.R. I danced and I sang – two favorite past times that I don’t do enough of.
From the moment I gave myself permission to focus on my health and happiness FULL TIME – I was in my happy place. The entire weekend was absolutely blissful.
